Erina and Jonathan Joestar's post-honeymoon egg sale netted Steven a few new pokemon, all with egg moves. The first to hatch was Mervyn, a perfectly average sized Pumpkaboo with a distinctly cynical side. He's become decent friends with Matthew during his first three weeks of life.
His ability is Pickup. It lets him pick up items in or outside of battle! His nature is Hardy; he's somewhat stubborn. Received as an egg from the Joestars.
