Steven traded one of his baby Gastly to Steve Palchuk, assuming he would get a Miltank egg in return. On the way home from prom, the egg hatched to reveal a tiny little skunk instead. Which is just typical of Steve P, honestly.

Stinker finally evolved shortly before Steven went to teach Hythlodaeus how to cook berry weed, revealing his newfound ability to set things on fire. Which is just typical of Stinker.

His ability is Stench. By releasing a stench when attacking, he can cause targets to flinch. His nature is Lax; he's highly curious. Received as an egg from Steve Palchuk.
