After Hythlodaeus decided to get started on his shiny ranch, Steven worked out a deal with him that in return for having his own shinies play stud/dam for Hythlodaeus on a monthly basis, Hythlo would breed for him a shiny black Sandygast, because holy crap, those colors are gorgeous. Absolutely worth it.
His ability is Water Compaction. His defense is sharply boosted when hit by water move. His nature is Adamant; he's capable of taking hits. Received as an egg from Hythlodaeus.
