While doing tourist shit in Saffron City, with a few of his non-Rocket friends, Steven ended up going on a visit to Silph Co with the group... and said group found out more about the Adopt-a-Null program in the process. After finding out that the adoption Nulls have their battle capabilities removed upon their return to Silph Co, Steven's friends resolved to turn ecoterrorist and come back to free more Nulls... but they'd also adopt a few first, Steven among them.
As with all Type: Nulls, Beep-Boop has a glitch. In his case, said glitch is that while he can speak in Flawless English, the only thing he wants to say are lyrics from Rick Gastly's smash hit single "Never Gonna Give You Up."
Their ability is Battle Armor. They're protected from critical hits. Their nature is Quirky; they have a bit of a quick temper. Met at Silph Co in Saffron City.
Because Beep-Boop is an adopted Null, all their moves have been forgotten and they can no longer battle.
