Humans in my world give live birth instead of laying eggs. If they do that here too, they might not have any human eggs, just human hatchlings. Then the problem is getting a human hatchling that doesn't already have parents.

You could ask doctors if they know anyone with a baby human that needs being taken care of? Even if there's none that need to be taken care of forever, there might be some that need to be taken care of for a few hours.
